How to Draw the Head | Upward Angle | Fearful Expression
Get my full course on How to Draw Heads from Any Angle - ram-studios-comics-art-school.teachable.com/p/how-to-draw-heads-step-by-step-from-any-angle?coupon_code=RUclipsVID
In today's video tutorial I show you how to draw a head on an upward angle with a open mouth fearful expression. You will learn many of the techniques that have been paramount to my improvement over the years.
This is the Andrew Loomis method for drawing the head and it is very effective for drawing characters from your imagination. Not that reference is ever a bad thing but I like to draw form memory for my comic style art. Not always but most of the time!

    1 point perspective looks great here! More importantly your background tells a nice story...She high up since we can see she's above one of the buildings yet below the birds. Nice attention to detail with the water tower and cornices. You are a fantastic artist. I'd probably dial down the thickness of her right quadricep, my eye keeps going to that. This is one of the more thorough hatching videos I've seen! Something that blows my mind is the guys who can do each hatching line with one fluid motion of the brush, and their control is so fine that they taper perfectly together. That said, I'm also humbled by the patience of people who put more time into tapering each line with a finer pen.

    All of those can be done. Ai can’t physically tattoo anybody, or physically draw, but it could come up with the ideas. I agree artists will always have a job, but saying ai can’t do these things, it can. The art made from now until infinity will always have less value because of ai, but artists will not be out of a job. And therefore REAL art will become more valuable!

    • @UniDeathRaven
      @UniDeathRaven 5 дней назад

      real human physical art will double or triple in the price from now on. Thanks AI lmao. Glad I've gone trad art since beginning even before AI was on horizon.

      @redalawson3897 5 дней назад

      @@UniDeathRaven no joke brother when I saw all this ai coming out I thought to myself, how badass would it be to have a hand painted family portrait like “the old days” 😂😂😂 it’s just like social media VS a beautiful novel, you can get entertainment from both, but one is much more sincere and therefore valuable. God bless.

    • @RobertMarzullo
      @RobertMarzullo 2 дня назад

      I was pointing out that these jobs need a human to perform the art, therefore they are safe from Ai. Just because Ai can push out an image it doesn’t jeopardize any of those professions. I worked in each them at one time or another. They all required human connection and building relationships. That is what is most important to focus upon in my opinion.

    • @RobertMarzullo
      @RobertMarzullo 6 дней назад

      Let me pick one and prove my point. The first one is Caricaturing at parties. I had to drive all over the state and perform in person. I had to be funny and make the audience feel emotions while drawing the art. There is no way Ai can bridge that gap. Sure someone can get an Ai generated image of them as a caricature. That doesn’t come close to the human experience of getting one at an event.

      @@RobertMarzullo Hey Rob, appreciate you. I've been learning from you since the almost the beginning of my art journey nearly eight years ago. I couldn't replace that experience with some fake quasi-sentience. Everything you said is valid. Nobody's letting "mid"journey put ink underneath their skin that portrays a plagiarized, poorly color graded, overly rendered image. Of course "prompt artists" (lol) wouldn't bother to learn what these terms mean, would they?
